I founded and was the President of Human Communications, a consulting firm which advised clients on emerging telecommunications technologies and helped clients plan and design highly competitive products and services.
I've been active in the Voice over IP industry for the past nine years within product management for Brooktrout Technology, Cantata and Dialogic and drive Dialogic's Carrier Voice over IP Gateway strategy and execution.
I've also been active in international telecommunications standards and have contributed to the major fax standards including T.30, T.37 and T.38, as well as related fax and call discrimination packages within the Megaco H.248.1 standards. I was also an original co-chair for the Internet Fax Work Group of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF).
During that time, I also wrote several RFCs on the Tagged Image File Format (TIFF), including TIFF-F (RFC 2306) and the latest version TIFF-FX (RFC 3949).
I have B.S. and a Master of Engineering degrees in Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
I've been listed in the Marquis Who's Who in America for the last several years.
I'm married and am the proud father of two sons.
My interests outside of work include writing fiction, playing music, cross country skiing, biking, hiking, golf and travel.
